Welcome to Botanic View Bed and Breakfast which is both Irish Tourism Board and Dublin Tourism approved. Upon arrival, a welcome cup of tea/coffee awaits you together with "The Guide to Dublin" publication which highlights shopping, arts, entertainment, pubs, events, dining, heritage, activities and details of some excellent tours together with a map of Dublin streets.

A secure lock up garage is available but unless you plan to travel outside Dublin city during your Irish holiday,

It is much easier to get around and see more of Dublin using public transportation. The city centre of Dublin is very easily accessible from Botanic View with 4 different bus routes passing my door - 19, 19A 13 and 83.(2004 fare 1.25 euro per journey) These operate until about 11pm and thereafter there is a Nitelink service from Westmoreland Street (between Trinity College and O'Connell Bridge) Monday - Wednesday 0030 and 2.00 and Thurs to Sat 00.30 every 20 mnutes to 4.30(2004 Fare 4 euro.)

Botanic View is surrounded by numerous traditional Irish pubs and restaurants within walking distance including Kavanaghs (nick named the Gravediggers and located at the back door of Glasnevin cemetery) which was the scene of the most recent TV ads for both Guinness and Smithwicks and also Fagans pub on Drumcondra Road where President Bill & Mrs. Clinton stopped for a pint on their way back to the airport. Botanic House pub directly across the street offers both a carvery lunch and varied evening menu as well as a ballad session on Thursday nights.

The Sunnybank Hotel just down the road has music most weekends too..
